Body and Soul
The wind rushes by,
the leaves russle overheade.
I stand on the stair,
listening to the sounds of the night.
The leaves russle overhead,
the sound rushes through my head.
Listening to the sounds of the night,
I hear its heavenly call.
The sound rushes through my head,
I hear the nights voise soft and sweet.
I hear its heavenly call,
asking me to come with it.
I hear the nights voise soft and sweet,
it sings me a lullaby.
Asking me to come with it,
calling for my soul.
It sings me a lullaby,
beaconing me forward.
Calling for my soul,
it embraces me.
Beaconing me forward,
walking slowly.
It embraces me,
not wanting to let go.
Walking slowly,
I stand on the stair.
Not wanting to let go,
the wind rushes by.
